Am I pregnant? Very Early Signs of Pregnancy

During the first week of pregnancy, some women experience no symptoms while others may. Pregnancy symptoms can appear at various periods for different people. Because pregnancy symptoms can vary so greatly from person to person, it’s crucial to avoid comparing your pregnancy to others’. There are several early indications and symptoms of pregnancy even though the pregnancy test provides the definitive answer. Learn about them and the reasons they happen in this article.

Common signs and symptoms of pregnancy

Have you missed your period? A missed period is the most common and visible indication of pregnancy. Your menstrual cycle stops after conception occurs, and you won’t start having periods again until after the birth of your child. But not every missed period indicates pregnancy. Stress, heavy exercise, diets, hormone imbalances, and other conditions that might lead to irregular periods can also cause you to miss your period.

Have you started urinating more often than usual? You might notice that you urinate more frequently sometimes even before you miss a period. This occurs because your body produces more blood during pregnancy, which forces your kidneys to process additional fluid that ends up in your bladder.

Do you feel tired (fatigued)? Early in a pregnancy, a lot of people feel extremely tired. They always feel sleepy. Possible causes of this weariness include a sudden surge in progesterone levels during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Morning sickness (Nausea with or without vomiting): Any time of day or night can bring on nausea or morning sickness. Despite the fact that about half of pregnant women vomit because of nausea, others never do. While some pregnant women experience nausea earlier than others, some never do.

Have your breasts become tender or swollen? If you are pregnant, your breasts may become sensitive to touch. The feeling you get may be similar to the way your breasts feel before a period, only that this time the feeling is stronger. The area around your nipple may start to darken and enlarge. You might also notice that your bra is tighter than usual and that your breasts have gotten bigger.

Other less common signs and symptoms of pregnancy

Food cravings: You may have food cravings or experience persistent hunger. While some meals and flavors may taste fantastic, others may start to taste bad out of the blue.

Mood swings: You become emotional and weepy.

Nasal congestion. Early in pregnancy, some people get a stuffy nose because of the increased hormone and blood levels.

Cramping: Additionally, you may suffer brief, period-like cramps that come and go over the course of a few days.

NOTE: Use the aforementioned pregnancy symptoms and indicators as a reminder to get tested. Please keep in mind that only a pregnancy test or an ultrasound performed by your doctor will confirm your pregnancy.
